Who we are
The Community Foundation for Surrey is an independent charitable trust. We were established in 2005 and are part of the national network of Community Foundations, a growing philanthropic movement in the UK.
Our mission is to improve the lives of people in Surrey by raising the level of giving. We award grants to local community and voluntary groups who make a real difference to the well-being of those in their communities. These grants are allocated from a growing programme of charitable funds established by individuals and organisations who want to help local people in need and see their donations make a difference.
What we do
We help donors support their local communities. This works very simply; we invest the money donated by local individuals, businesses, families and trusts for the benefit of those in need. The exciting thing is that as these funds grow, we can not only support immediate need with donations and the interest from donations, but are also able to build a permanent endowment fund – a legacy that will benefit communities in Surrey forever.
